Occupy Wall Street – Art occupies the financial district

Since mid-September, many people have been demonstrating in New York’s financial district against unequal distribution of wealth, power of the banks and continuing unemployment. The Occupy Wall Street movement has already absorbed many artists. Here is an article about different artists who are participating in the protests. “The Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protests may be rooted in anger over corporate greed and corruption, but that hasn’t stopped the art world from getting involved and taking over the financial district.” … “Other organized action from artists at OWS include a 24-hour exhibition that kicked off Saturday evening where a group of artists rented out the former J.P.     this is a great protest, but a little bit optimistic

    Concerning the protest: We will see how successful they are! I think it depends on how many people are unhappy about the situation and how strong the common unhappiness is!
    Concerning the aritsts: Some of them got more to do with the topic, some of them less. I think the most are inspired by the very emotional atmosphere.
